Paul Wharton of MTV and VH1 in Humane Society Fund Raiser
Apr 14 2007
Paul Wharton, one of Washington DC's most popular television personalities and modeling industry insider, will be part of Fashion for Paws, the Washington DC Humane Society's first annual fashion fund raiser.
Washington, DC, April 14, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Paul Wharton, fashion and style contributor on FOX Channel 5 in Washington DC, has recently participated in several televsion spots helping to promote the first annual fashion fund raiser for the Washington DC Humane Society called Fashion for Paws.
Fashion for Paws, held at the Embassy of France, featured forty of Washington DC's most celebrated and well-known personalities as the fashion models. This is an interesting twist for Paul Wharton as he is famous for helping models refine their look and improve their performance. He is currently developing a web site toward that end to help both seasoned and aspiring models with information and exposure to advance their careers. Along with their photos, models will be able to display their awards, achievements and resumes.
Now, however, its Paul's turn to "strut his stuff" on the catwalk. Paul and other well-known Washington celebrities walked the runway leading or holding dogs decked out in designer duds, all for charity. Designer doggie fashions for spring 2007 were displayed as well as women's and men's ready- to-wear apparel.
All proceeds went to the Washington DC Humane Society, the oldest animal protection agency in the capital city, into their Good Home Gurantee program, a five-year plan that promises to find a home for every adoptable dog and cat that enters the shelter by 2010. Toka Salon and Day Spa was the official salon sponsor of Fashion for Paws and was followed by an after party at Blue Gin in Georgetown.
