High Fashion Models - When you think of modeling, the first thing that comes to mind is the tall, slim, elegant women who grace the covers of Vogue and W, or the runways of top designers. The important thing with commercial modeling is not looking like a supermodel, it's having the right image to sell the product. Eligible candidates should be female or male, attractive and have a clean, marketable look. Late teen - adult.

"Sophisticated Models" as they are known in some parts of the business, have become a viable part of the industry, answering the call of consumers in their 30's, 40's, 50's and beyond, that demand to see their age groups represented in magazines, catalogs, editorials and campaigns. Eligible candidates should be female, age 30+, very attractive, well toned, have smooth skin and a great smile.
It's not necessary to spend a lot of money on your photographs.
One picture you submit should show your natural beauty. This picture would be the equivalent to a Polaroid that an agency would take of you in the agency office:
little or no makeup, minimal look
hair pulled back, away from face, very natural, simple
look natural, no unnecessary posing
stand in front of a solid wall as a background, preferably white
wear something that shows your figure
pictures can be Polaroid, snapshots or digital
Include the following shots in addition to the very natural shot:
1 headshot (with smile)
1 headshot (without smile)
1 full length body shot
Look in fashion magazines for a model that is your type and have similar pictures of you taken. Use fashion magazines to practice your looks and poses. The more practice you have in front of a mirror practicing your various looks the better your pictures will be. Clothes should be simple and not over accessorized.
